C.E.L. Cablaggi was founded in Bologna in 1969 and has a production facility in Monte San Pietro. We work together with our customers right from the design stage of the electrical system, carefully evaluating all the requirements, without taking anything for granted. If the project is not new, we explore the possibility of implementing optimizations and recommend the most suitable materials in terms of resistance and general quality, according to the specific application.
It is not always necessary to carry out prototyping; however, it is essential to do so when dealing with particularly complex projects or for products that involve a significant number of pieces. The first stage in manufacturing a wiring harness involves cutting the cables: they are cut to length by automatic cutting machines according to the various specifications of the project. Once the cables have been stripped, the various terminals are crimped to them as required. During assembly, the prepared cables are joined according to the project specifications and their application, with particular attention to any installation constraints.
Quality control is carried out for all the various processes at each stage of production as well as on the finished harness. This structured approach to quality control has allowed us to obtain an annual number of non-compliant wiring harnesses that is practically zero.
